This is my first challenge entry, a picture of my son - a German Shepherd/Husky Mix named Onyx.
I'm not super happy with this photo, I think the turkey is too out of focus, could of done with a better DoF. I was trying to focus in and isolate the face and eyes of Onyx, but I now think the foreground is too OoF. Also, the background is too distracting. If this wasn't a Basic challenge, I'd definitely try to blur that out with PP.
Anyway, not a great photo, but a start at DPC! |

This dog is beautiful! You will have to post more of him. You did a great job with the detail on a "black" dog.
(I know from trying to capture my very black cat, just how difficult it is to get the correct exposure.) |

| This is cute in black and white. Unfortunately for me, the only thing really in focus is the Dog's eye. I do like the softness, but for an image like this, focus would be the key. |
