 Every morning on the way to drop my kid off at school and then on to work, I see this spot and always want to stop and shoot. So on Saturday morning I made a point to go shoot it. It was a cold morning and as I was shooting it started to snow. It was awesome. I could hear the snow before it got to me, hitting the evergreens on the other side of the road. A very peaceful feeling. A painter can sit inside a nice warm studio and paint such scenes but only a photographer interacts with the scene they are schooting.

i dont really understand what is meant by balance, so i have just been looking at this as a free study, that being said, this is a pretty sunset shot, shame there was not some more detail in the foreground however

It seems as though the saturation may have been pushed a bit too much. I am seeing a bit of color banding above the sun and along the water. I like the composition, which feels quite IN balance too me. The heavy dark area on the right and the bright balls of sun seem to convey equal weight.
