Yeah, this is my lowest score yet. I liked the photo. For me a parrot is an "everyday object" in our house. Tried to give it a "different perspective" by not just photographing the parrot, but to do it from a different view. Auw well. I do have a tendancy not to meet the challenge. Quess I will have to work on that. Thanks for all the comments. |

Well, I am really sad because your picture got so low rate... I was one of your 10
What is wrong in the picture? Maybe a little too much light in the right but that also help to concentrate in the eye... I guess your picture was not understood by the 70 % of the voters (IQ in DPC is alarmly low).THE OBSERVER IS THE "EVERYDAY OBJECT" This is im my favourites photographs
I am really depress, many other good pictures got so few points: I am thinking to retire from DPC or be member and only participate in member challenges...
I guess that is the only filter we can apply... usually members have a better knowledge of photos and voting
What do You think ? |

Nice shot but I don't think it meets the challenge. |

I'm impressed with the detail in the feathers near the eye. |

I want to like your idea but have a bit of trouble doing so. There's not much meaning for me - nothing much in focus, a lot overexposed, and not an everyday object in my world. |

The beak over-powers the focus on the eye, and the blown highlights of the upper left of the frame are too powerful to ignore IMO for this to score well. |

Wow, I hope he didn't bite you! You could do with a little less lighting on his head - it's a little hard to tell what it is at first. |

Ya cropped the cockatoo/parrot too much, it'll bite ya if it sees the shot. |

Everyday object? Not to me, but I guess I can see where you're coming from. |

that's a tough shot to take. talk about up close and personal. personally, i would prefer the focus on the beak with enough dof to keep the eye that sharp. |

Beautiful shot of the pinfeathers around the eye. Too bad the forehead got blown out. Although we have an African Gray Parrot in our house I don't think everyone would consider them an everyday object. |
