To answer idp's question, he's wearing a ton of pancake makeup, giving the smooth appearance to his face. I was pretty close & at first thought he was wearing a mask. For the most part, I start out with the topaz presets (mostly detail & adjust), but I've been doing mulitple layers with different ones and changing blending modes & opacities. Depending on results, I either use denoise on individual layers or flatten & use it at the end.

Nicely done - I like to play about with multi layered Topaz myself - I usually use crisp for the detail, portrait soft or simplify for backrounds, and an unprocessed layer for skin tones - but \i like the skin efffect here - is it a preset ?
