In this situation, you can laugh, cry or do both.

I've lost count of how many times i've heard the phrase 'who left the tap on?' during the last week. And every time it was used by a flood victim.

So i don't care if you don't like my title. When you go through something like this first hand, you can say whatever you bl**dy want. If it makes a person who has lost everything, to be able to smile for a short moment, then it is worth it.

I just realised this photo is my 600th entry.

For the people who have been following the thread, I did get permission to use this photo.

These weren't the worst hit houses in my area...my friends house was well under water, only his tv antenna was sticking out of the water, whilst his neighbour was completely gone. The only evidence of his house was the electricity cable going from the power pole into the water.

A little sarcasm helps people walk upright in situations like this so the title is totally appropriate imo. I gave this shot 9 for it's impact and would hve expected it to score higher overall.

Feels like I should be seeing this shot in a newspaper or on TV. Although I doubt they would use the same title (funny as it is:) Hope nature calms down and lets those people rebuild their normal lives.

Arr, Queensland, beautiful one day – submerged the next :-)

This is an incredibly clear and crisp shot (better than I̢۪ve seen in any media reports). I hope your house isn̢۪t amongst those. Growing up in Tamworth the Peel River caused us grief several times. Good luck in the challenge.
