I sold my monolights last Spring. It was a good move at the time, but I have really missed being able to do portraits and still-life as I used to. For Christmas, my wife gave me an inexpensive set of florescent lights from Adorama.

This is my first attempt with the new set.

Nice job using a hair light, and very nice softness of the light throughout. To me, it looks like you may have used some skin softening on the face. But there are still details in the lips and neck, which gives it an un-natual feel to me. My apologies if I'm seeing this wrong.
