 Finally back in my home country of Scotland after 6 years living in Australia.

This shot is taken 5 minutes walk from my house while I was out walking my dog. It's of Cumbernauld House, which until very recently was falling into disrepair. Fortunately it was bought by developers and is now being restored to its original state.

I only really got into photography while I was living in Australia so this is my first entry from Scotland, here's hoping it does well.

Interestingly enough, I've always just taken for granted the surrounding country where I live, but when I see it in picture (even one I took myself), I realise just how nice it is!

Congratulations with the top placing. It is an incredibly beautiful image. I spent approximately 1 year in Scotland a few years ago working at the Loch Toridon hotel.

What a beautiful scene. The timing here is perfect, with a menacing sky but rays of sun coming down to add dramatic lighting.
