I like all the critiques about the lighting. That's good! Yeah, i had it too close to the board. Bummer!

And - this is HIS chess board. He got it for Christmas. He really does enjoy playing the game.

Would have preferred for less specks of dust on the board and possibly a little too lit up under the board that it blows that part of the photo out. Composition is great though and there is a very dramatic lighting effect.

I Like DOF. IMHO the lights at the center and on the kids finger just a little overblown.
