July? I think your forgetting that its an international site! lol Its winter here. Now back to the photo. I think the very tight crop will hurt your vote. It also looks a little flat so maybe if the contrast was tweeked a bit it would help add that wow factor. |

this one is a great idea and looks like it took some time, but...the size kills it. Hard to make a proper judgement of it at this distance |

would like to see more of the red/white/blue as it's part of the story. white bits are distracting. |

The highlights here are very blown out, and make it hard to see the image. Perhaps if you lowered your exposure time or used a different aperture? Also, the two colors of chocolate make it look less like it's melting and more like there's chocolate syrup on top. Try a hairdryer to melt the edges more convincingly, or melt the same type of chocolate and pour that down first. |
