Camera propped up on a small pillow in the back of a trunk, resting up at about a 45 degree angle. Used mirror lockup and a remote release. Didn't know whether to go for shock or puzzlement, dismay, so ran the gamut before thinking that this shot would do best, particularly in b/w.
Tried to get that moment of dawning realization so often seen in B-grade horror movies, right before the inevitable screaming begins...
Pretty sure I'll get slammed for the grain, but I like it :-) so there!
pp: RAW-TIFF conversion, crop, shadow/highlights, minor clone to remove hot area on nose, brightness/contrast, desat, noise reduction(?) resize, sharpen, save for web |

| I really liked this shot. Just the right amound of lighting to reveal enough emotion while maintaining a candid feel. I was one of your eights and aslo believe this should have finished higher. |
