 Up on a hill sits a lonely tree. One day a elderly lady decided that the tree need a few decorations so that it could be a Christmas Tree for the city's homeless. For the next few years every Christmas the elderly lady climbed up the steep hill with her beautiful decorations. But one year she didn't come and the tree was very lonely for her. As it watched over it's city and waited for her to come, that Christmas came and went. The following year some of the people of the city noticed that the tree wasn't decorated again. They decided that it needed to be again so they did. Then these people found out that the elderly lady couldn't make the trip anymore so they brought her up the steep hill. They did that for many years until she passed away a few years ago. Each year the city's friends decorate this tree but now it's not just for Christmas. Throughout the year you can find all sorts of holiday displays as this lovely and not lonely anymore tree overlooks the city.

I like the intrigue... The story is wonderful; as I read it I kept thinking that you were making it all up. Oh the downward weight of the unusual.

Is it seriously duct-taped together? Interesting shot. I like the layers of foliage in the foreground before you get to the skyline.

Pretty unusual. I notice there's another homeless tree in the challenge. What's the homeless tree all about?

It feels to me that the tree with it's ornaments is the dominant element here and hard to imagine the horizon is the dominant element in the photo.
