 Everything around me is cold and bleek with a long hard winter ahead of us. When I got out of my car the other day I noticed some bright red berries covered in snow and thought they would work well for this challenge. Of course we got a 12 hour thaw and the snow melted. I ended up hunkering down below them and shooting up to get the cool December sky to contrast with the bright red berries.

I wonder if some will think DMC but these bright berries in the dead of winter certainly say "life" to me. :)

Levels, Curves, USM, Neat Image, resize, crop, rotate. (not necessarily in that order)

I hope to reshoot this when I have better light but not sure I'll get home early enough - it gets dark mighty early this time of year.
