This reminds me of the few months that I spent in Michigan. Snow, cold, train tracks, grey sky. I was not happy with the grey skies that lasted for months after moving there from sunny West Palm Beach in S Florida.
The road crossing and the side track are a good metaphor for the way life goes along. The sort of underexposed look in everything except the snow captures the spirit of the weather very well. |

I like the view of the rails disappearing into the distance. It gives a sense of capturing a brief moment on life's journey. It's just as grey here today, and cold by Australian summer standards, but not cold like that. |
