 This is my recreation of the 1980 Tangerine Dream album cover for "Quichotte". I'd be really surprised if anyone recognises it as the album with that name / artwork was only released in East Germany (collectors favourite). It was released worldwide as "Pergamon" with different artwork in 1986.

Instead of using a tangerine, I used a persimmon which is much firmer so easier to insert the jack socket into. It also has a much smoother skin, hence the lack of detail on the skin.

I had a lot of fun making this shot as Quichotte is one of my favourite Tangerine Dream albums, and has what I consider an "iconic" album cover - even if no-one else on DPC has any clue what it is :-)

My first impressions of this are that it is a little soft and tad dull, but having viewed the original image "Tangerine Dream" it maybe that this is the opposite and it is not dull enough.

I personally feel that this image would have had greater impact if it was well lit and sharp or the complete opposite and more in keeping with the original.

Having said all that the layout is good replication and the border works well.
