Hello Ellen from the Critique Club
A very clever idea and you certainly have the voters fooled, myself included. Just how did you get that ice so clear?
I like the title and the background but there are a few soft spots maybe it is the cloning or one of the tools you used especially visable on the second row down on the left
I think a darker background may have given it more of a lift, I think that would make the ice stand out more, maybe a dark or navy blue. but then the title would have to change.
There are many clever images in this challenge and yours did very well.
So I am not sure what else to say because yours is very clever
( MY own image really bombed)
But keep those ideas coming and enjoy your photography
Good luck in your future challenges
if you have any questions you can P M me
Regards
Sally

Looks like a mirror trick to me. Not badly done, but it needs the lighting right to make somre real drama here. The colors don't contrast enough

Ive looked and looked you really have me sucked in. All i can think is that it is an extreme macro of sugar cubes or something similiar it just looks to plastic for ice. Besides all that this shows balance and will have a lot people confused , well done. |

Very simple and elegant subject and composition. The lighting and color palette works well. I could see this hanging in a lobby somewhere.... nice work 8 |

Absolutely delightful. Gives the impression of being suspended in mid-air and the transparent cubes add an exciting aspect to the image. Good one! |

Nice entry for this challenge. The background is weak, it's mostly all pixelated..from-?- maybe compression. Good luck. |
