Yes: these guys are balancing gurus. The subject is well lit. I would have cropped this differently, but then it would have been a different picture. With the way the sweet girl is placed, I would cropped right above her head: a perfect 8x10. Now, if I wanted to keep her in, I would have changed angle to include a little more of her face. However, the cat solo is a very strong visual. The lighting is so good, it needs no support whatsoever. Bumping this image to 6. |

What a great capture. I love the B&W for this; the lighting on the cat; the textures. I wish I could see more of the little girl, not just her face (which would have meant you'd have to pose her) but more of HER in the shot. Still, one of my favorites in this challenge. |

Great use of B & W on this shot.
Interesting theme & good composition.
A well-deserved ((8)) |

This is wonderful. The balance of the cat on the board and the balance of the composition perfectly fit the challenge. The cat has a little too much light on him but the little girl looking up at him is priceless. |

I like the lighting on the cat. When this first popped up in my browser, the little girl was scrolled off the screen - like that I thought the picture was more about balance. |
