| Too bad this one didn't do better. I was one of your 9s. I don't think I've ever seen a hummingbird shot quite like this. What could be a colorful and joyful picture, is transformed into a melancholy and somber memory, frozen yet fading away. This effort was a bold (and successful) attempt at turning something ordinary into a piece of art. Fav. |

| The idea behind the Posthumous Ribbon is to encourage you to break the rules, to find new and different ways to express yourself. To free your mind to think clearly toward the solution that is certain to come, to laugh at world and at life, not doing what others are expecting you to do, but just following and listening to what's in your heart. DPC it̢۪s a wonderful learning place where everyone should be supported on their way to be a photographer. A special attention should be aimed to those working hard with different views and approaches to photography, those not aligned with the mainstream taste and receiving no recognition. | Good idea, but the quality is a bit lacking and this has really been done to death (although I do like it in high key black and white). |

| I love that you did this in B&W. I don't know that I have ever seen a hummer without color, but I love it. The form is enhanced and it is beautiful in it's simplicity! I don't know that I like the white border around it, but the picture itself is what I scored and it is definitely in my favorites. |
