My guess on the halo mentioned below is that it's merely sunlight shining through the fine hairs of the leaves' edges.
I agree that it's pretty cute once you notice that it looks like they're holding hands. Even having that pointed out though it's a bit tough to see it. The DOF certainly leads you to the two leaves, but perhaps darkening the background would further bring them to the forefront. |

I spun my chair and looked back at your photo upside down and really enjoyed the leaning towards each other moment between the two intimate leaves. Have you given each one of them names yet? |

Beautiful color and a nice bokeh. Wonderfully seen as well. It takes a great eye to find little treasures like this.
My overly nitpicky critique: There's a bit of a highlighted edge around many of the leaves. Someone else (or yourself) may be able to diagnose why. It doesn't look like it's from over sharpening if I look at other parts of the image. I'm sure some of it may be from the the backlight of the sun, which may be able to be reduced with a filter (but I'm not an expert at using filters).
Love the image and colors... it seriously is a nitpicky remark. |
