Great perspective, and interesting subject, but background is very distracting to me. The color on the top portion of his body is SO close to the background color that there is just not enough tonal range to really make him stand out, or for the photo to really have impact.

I like this guy's expression -- quite the deceptive smile. The background has a lot of noise which is distracting. Try going into the selective color and adjusting the gray and black to see if it might reduce some of it or at least make it less noticeable. I might try messing with the contrast as well. -- see if raising it might make the croc pop a little more. Right now he's well blended which is want he wants to protect himself but you need him to stand out a bit. I like the crop -- I like that he's looking down on you. It give the photo a feeling of how powerful he is.
