Not enough love here - the shot is under-rated IMO. I was one of your 8's. I felt is fitted the challenge perfectly. Might have got a better score with more horizon shown and the tree off to one third.

Certainly has that mood to it. When daybreak is just about to hit. Nice light through the clouds. If I were at the controls I'd try to tweak the color a bit to get more out of the sunrise, and I'd crop that left tree out and move the tree in the center more to the left. Maybe get a bit closer and use it more as the foreground. But I don't know much.

At 5 AM? I like the interesting pattern to the clouds, and the silhouetted tree & hill tops.

Nice idea for this challenge, but unfortunately, the photo doesn't really show me anything that stands out.

An interesting cloudscape, but the lone tree just doesn't hold enough interest for me. Might have been better if it was framed so that the tree was exactly on the left third, or even quarter, and that way you would have lost the bit that is just coming in to frame.
