 This picture was taken on my second morning of getting up at 3:45. This can only be described as the low rent district for boats in San Diego. The picture that I took on the first morning had a boat that look like the SS Minnow with a tarp over it

Simple picture...
1. Woke up at 3:45
2. Made coffee
3. Aimed my car towards downtown (can't call it driving when your that tired)
4. Took picture
5. Converted from raw
6. Noise Ninja.
6. Fixed hot pixels.
6. Cropped from big picture (original has 2 sail boats)

This is the original picture that I cropped to create the submission. The water was calmer and flatter than I had ever seen it along the bay.

Thanks everyone for all the nice comments! I wasn't expecting this picture to do as well as it did.

If anyone knows of any tricks that I could have done in photoshop to make the hull look whiter, I would greatly appreciate hearing them. I'm not that great in photoshop and I figured I would probcably goof the picture up rather than improve upon it if I tried to whiten the hull.

This would probably make an excellent HDR shot. Do you still have the RAW file?

Really nice shot. Water is mirror sharp and reflecting some lovely tones. I would have set the mast off to a side for the composition but that's just me. Not voting, justing admiring.
