I love this. In addition to the things others have already pointed out I like how there appear to be three, or maybe four, distinct "zones" of people. In the foreground there is basically one person, the lady. In the middle distance there are three of four groups of people, then another few groups further out, who appear closer to each other than the implied spacing in the foreground. Finally at the horizon there are lots of people who appear to be quite close to each other. I realize this is just the distortion of perspective/distance, but I think this change in "people density" is more striking because of the way you chose to process this. Great stuff! It got a 9 from me and was among my top five. |

I love the unconventional approach with this shot and hoped (as I'm sure you did) that it would place higher but I think paulbtlw has summed it up well, a great shot. Its the sort of shot that was never going to be in everyone's taste so good on yer for going for it, well done. |

I'm going through the entries, stopping at those images I feel have had the benefit of an unconventional eye and dwelling a little longer to try to see and appreciate what you saw. This is one of those images.
Positives: I like how extreme and uncompromising this image island how you've reduced all the figures to just their forms (who needs texture!). I like where you've placed the horizon in the frame too.
Critical stuff: Nothing
Overall: I think the processing works really well for this scene. |

This is an absolutely stunning image I love the stark contrasts and the main figure walking into the shot, deserves to do well |
