Cool shot, Deb! I really like this. The depth and layers of the shot is fun. It sort of reminds me of the Sims game. Characters going about doing their thing. |

One has just noticed white splotches on the stucco behind and above the bike's rear wheel, such that one can easily imagine it's a velocipede and those are little puff-puff clouds from a tiny one-lunger of a French engine :-) |

Ooh, I just noticed the dude up the ladder is on the phone. Yikes. At least he looks like he's on the phone even if he isn't

One LOVES the not-visible dog and the truncated bike. One LOVES the workman wondering WTF you're shooting, and why. One LOVES that the bucket has no readily-discernible means of support, such that one can easily imagine it is caught in mid-plummet, the whole world going on about its business as the instant of impact looms. One LOVES the mysterious, gooseneck, ET-like shadow that has no visible source.
One LOVES this image :-) |

Glad to see this was yours. It was one of my 9's. However, I guessed that bspurgeon's entry was yours, as it was a b/w of pigeons, and he knows them by their first names. |

Beautiful Deb, classic. I never seem to "find" scenes like this. I'm always amazed at your ability to see. |

A violin for you, for sure. This is muur88-esque, isn't it? Beautiful job! |

Feels very muur88. I love all the movement and the feeling of imminent collision. |

I'm going through the entries, stopping at those images I feel have had the benefit of an unconventional eye and dwelling a little longer to try to see and appreciate what you saw. This is one of those images.
Positives: Lovely scene, well captured. I like how everybody is just going about their business - that contributes greatly to the story-telling qualities of the image. The coloration is very nice indeed - it combines with the light to offer up a very relaxed mood.
Critical stuff: I'm not wholly convinced by the overall composition of the various elements.
Overall: I like it well enough though. |

Love the energy in this image. Blue reflects the ocean, I wonder about the dog drowning, and how did that guy get a two wheeled paddle boat? Is it me or is the texting painter about to get clobbered by a falling bucket? |
