Greetings from the Critique Club again :)

In addition to what Justine posted, I think the composition on this shot would be stronger if your subject was on the right side of the frame as well... since she is looking towards the left side of the frame, if there was some empty space there, i believe that it could add a nice touch :)

Emotion. You only have to glance at this to see this woman is in pain, she's BLUE.
It's making a statement.
I love the light and the colors are good also.
The woman is lovely and appealing.
The composition is perfect to show the tear on her cheek. The focus is just a little soft for my liking.
I wouldn't change anything here.
This is very well done.

Feeling and color. this shot screams blue. very nice job. the lighting, focus, angle and framing/cropping are all good. The little fingertip protruding in from the bottom is a bit out of place, but otherwise a nice shot. good luck in the challenge.

How did you get Glenn Close circa 1987 to pose for you? You got a time machine? LOL muckpond

She kinda looks like Glen Close.

Peter Gabriel, huh? And life carries on... and on... and on...

Hmmmmmm.

Honestly, this is really a very interesting and brilliant shot. The expression is so well captured, even her nose has a slight tint of pink, giving the hint that she's been crying before. The lighting on the left is slightly too harsh or too direct and it seems that the shot has a slight yellow cast over it. Overall 8.

I would have rather if she was off center to the right instead of to the left, as she is looking left. Maybe she is supposed to be looking at something you can't see since she's longing for something that's gone, but I think the negative space could have produced the same effect.

"they say life carries on." nice portrait.

Good photo. So much more here, than on some of the "pouty faced" photos others have done for a "blue" mood. Nice touch with the blue background and the blue clothing. Very nice work.

a different angle of light and softer light source would make this better

Wow emotion +! I hope this is acting, if not it's making me sad. Good shot. Focus is just a little soft for me. However!!!! I love this idea and think she is very pretty. Justine

Looks like real tears, with the eyes being red, the eye lids also, the nose and upper lip being red also. Could be glisserine. Can't tell. If they're real I'm sorry she has cried so hard and long. But does make for a great picture. Just either crop it closer on the right too or zoom out a little till none of the head is cropped off. Right now 3 sides are cropped off. Bad execution. Otherwise good picture. PTL

One thing that doesn't take me to the blue is her eyes' direction. Although her tear convinces me, only if she looks down downwards

thank you very much for something that actually expresses blue rather than simply showing it.
