INITIAL RESPONSE: Nice color, Feel like something is missing like you 'cut' the boat and .. ah hhh the shadow.
COMPOSITION-CONTENT - I think you should have shown more of the boat .. or less .. as it is it looks 'incomplete' like a part is missing. Very cluttered picture but still appealing I gues because we expect that for a boat in a port. The shadow is definitively a no and is very distracting.
BACKGROUND : As said above .. very busy background but justified, plus the eye can rest in the very nice still waters ..; the water is soo nice !!! Maybe you could have use only the water and a part of the boat.
CAMERA WORK-TECHNICAL- Very deep depth of field which think is good in that case, perfect exposure. I like the colors a lot they are very nice and natural.
DIGITAL PROCESSING - TECHNICAL - Nothing specific so ... good digital processing !!!!!
MY OPINION ON THE PHOTO - The boat and the weather condition you had had a great potential but I think it would have deserved a better composition (more of the boat or less of the boat) and a different angle to avoid the shadow. Do not be afraid to ay on the ground ... (not sure how the shot would have looked like but it woud have avoid the shadow).

Crisp and Clear nice shot. Only problem is your own shadow got in the way. :-(
You get a 7 from me. :-) |

At first I didn't rate this as high as it deserved, but then I realized that I could see this shot in a "waterfront" gallery or something and would be really impressed. The shot is not ABOUT something blue, but it includes it nicely. 9 |

This would be more effective if it didn't have your shadow in the middle of it. muckpond |

Very nice photo. Good focus, but the interest/composition aspect isn't very strong for me. I know that quantity of blue isn't really mentioned in the challenge topic, but the percentage in this one is on the low side. 7 Swash |

The shadow caused by the photographer in this image takes away from the scene. |

A lot of objects within the frame of this picture yet the composition remains appealing. My eye naturally wanders from foreground to back. I really like the colors in this one - they seem to fit together very well. I don't know what time of day this shot was captured but I think it would look even neater when the sun's really low. Fits theme moderately well. |

why did you have to get in the picture? couldn't you lay down or use a tripod and hide it;s shadow in the shadow that is already there? i love this picture but your shadow is in the middle of it. great color of the blue and the wood and great composition. the tie line leads the eye to the name of the boat in the blue band around the boat and then the eye wanders to the rich wood color and detail in the wood. very nice shot. |

Good photo, clean clear, and crisp....just what I like to see. The blue is also a pretty blue. I'm not crazy for this perspective but I wasn't there. I'll say good work. Justine |

No it's not! It's the Carolyn Ann III. Can't you even read? But it is a beautiful photo of a beautiful boat. I just wish you had shown me more of her. She looks like a nice big one and I want to know how big. Sorry. You cut the boat, and the score, in half. PTL 5 |

Kind of busy, the reflection in the water is hard to pick up on right away. The angle is a little weird I think, it makes the ship look sort of 2d... |
