 An egg balanced on a pencil, :-)

Set up -- Used a mini-vise to hold the pencil in a vertical position. blew the stuff out of the egg and velcroed the shell to my computer screen. used a flashlight and "painted with light" to get the egg illuminated while keeping the pencil back lit.

Post process -- Contrast, saturation, cloned out a couple of spots on the pencil, NI, resized.

Good illusion but i think the pencil is a little off centre.

Great shot in its simplicity and elegance. The only thing I found distracting is the apparent "texture" in the background. But that's only personal taste so nice shot otherwise.

Perfect color for the background. A very simple but effective balacing act. Nice side lighting.
