 Well this is my first entry after a very long time.

I had an idea for this challenge and needed a castle or similar so the easiest way for me was to visit the "Palacio de la Magdalena" in Santander, it was early in the morning with no people on the beach so I decided to take some photos while having a peaceful walk, after I took some photos of the "Palacio".
In the afternoon I watched the photos on the computer and saw this one with the bottle, I really did not noticed the bottle while I was there, a pity because I could have taken more different photos.
The idea of a mermaid and a message in the bottle came suddently, so I tried to do my best with the editing part.

The title forces one to slow down, and as soon as that happens, the picture's real depth kicks in. Marvellous.

Your image is subtle - very much so. Would the connection to the competition theme be evident without the title/caption? I like the thought and the image is beautiful.

There is too much going on in this shot that it takes a while for the eye to be drawn towards the bottle. I would of preferred this against a calm sea.
