 Wasn't planning on shooting for this challenge. Yesterday I went out behind the house planning on getting some hay role sunset shots. They had all been moved. Then I spotted this tree. I've been wanting to do some tree shots like this for a LONG time but had no idea where a lone tree was - well one that didn't have distractions around it. Who knew I had the perfect tree practically in my back yard.
I'll probably get beat up over DNMC but that's OK - it's a beautiful shot.

Just as I suspected; lots of folks don't see this as sound. But the more I think on it....silence is a sound.

Sorry, but in my opinion, silence is the complete lack of sound, and thus this isn't meeting the challenge. This is a nice photo with good colors though.

The title sums it up. I'm getting absolutely no sense of sound from this. Only silence. Nice shot though, but I'll be knocking a couple of point off for my perceived DNMC.

Beautiful! I love where the clouds sit and how the eye falls to the focus of the tree. However, not sure if it applies to the challenge.

Very clever but I see wondrous lines and great composition without that noise factor that I am looking for. If the tree falls in this photo will I be able to hear the crash? I like the composition and the off center placement of the tree. The three cloud spots make the photo fabulous as do the three protruding trunks. I'm not sure if I like or dislike the fact that you left so little dark surface at the bottom of your photo. I love it but can't hear a sound.
