Greetings from the Critique Club!!

I liked this shot right from the first time I saw it. IMO, this could have finished much higher than it did. That is the risk you take when submitting an abstract shot. The important thing is that you liked it.

The composition is very good and I feel that your vibration certainly adds to the feel of the shot. The brightness of the lights to the left is a bit of a distraction. I tried to look at a new crop but couldn't really see one from what is here that would have worked within the rules. Perhaps you had more to work with in the original.

Overall, I feel that this has an artistic feel that may not score well but more than meets the challenge. I actually scored it a 7 during the challenge. Good job and keep it up!

I would like to take this time out to retract my statement. It was wrong to say those words and I am deeply sorry for it. I beg forgiveness from you IG and anyone else whom I have offended that read my out of place comment. I should know better. People take a lot of time to set these photographs up. On average it takes me three hours of just taking pictures to get the photo right not to mention how long it takes me to think up an idea for each challenge. I deserve to be kicked off this website.

The inside of a vase? Too modern art for me but it is a good photo. Not too sure about the cropping, looks a little lopsided. Focus - probably abut as good as you can get of this. Nice job PTL 6

None of this is in really good focus, which is a shame because it looks very interesting! What is it?

Ooo, that's cool

Normally I do not appreciate abstracts, but this one is marvolous. I love the almost fluid movement of it. BAMartin

Very neat abstract shot. Very original. Good job.

it comes off as too much digital art and not enough photograhphy... it is a neat image though

almost looks 3D. is interesting but might look better if it was a little sharper and the white glare from the left was toned down. nice composition.

Not sure how you did this, but I'm a fan of abstract. Nicely done.
12/01/2002 08:29:00 PM
Nice, I like how abstract it is. If it was a bit sharper, and smoother it'd make for a nice print.

I'm not sure what this is, but it makes me feel green more then blue. I like the variance in blues though.. but the side white is fairly distracting. Good luck!
