 When I read the contest title, I instantly thought about a project I had done a couple years ago trying to portray love and lust by shooting only people's legs. 'From the Knees Down' seemed like it would just take that one step farther.

It was shot using 2 desk lamps and one track light (none of them were bright enough on their own). Because of the trouble I had finding models, I am the male in the photo. As a result, I had to trigger a cable release (which was taped to the wall, to the left of the frame) while in position, and then drop the pose and check results on my laptop after each shot.

I thought I was asking too much of myself to both model and shoot this image, but in the end, I'm very happy as to how it turned out.

Wow, very risky shot to put in this challenge. I like it, the colors and lighting really setup the mood well.
