Greetings from the Critique Club :-)
What a lovely young lady. The angle and composition is excellent. It meets the challenge requirements well, the lighting is great. I think you nailed the main reason why the image didn't score higher, soft focus is OK in a portrait but the eyes are the key. They need to be sharp imo to draw you into the face. I have mixed feelings on the processing. I like it, yet I think you could had backed off just a little. The over all tones/colors would had worked better for me. It does have a artsy feel to it. |

You've covered what my comments would have been with your post-entry analysis. I'd probably bring the blue out of her eyes a bit more, or really the brightness of the blues (the color is already there). And reducing the halo around her hair as well as the wood railing would be good.
Such a beautiful girl with fantastic eyes anyway though, it's fairly easy to make her look good. |

Can't add much to the other comments, but you did a good job with the blue color! |

A cute photo, and nice use of the flash to start balancing the exposure, but this has just a bit too much of an over-processed feeling to me (especially the halo effect at the edge of the wood and around her head. |
