I do agree the border is a bit weird though. Either go letterbox or equidistant all the way around (at least for voters); or better, no border at all, especially with a shot like this, which doesn't need it.

With a shot this good you want to go as big as possible, so scrap the border altogether. And a black border doesn't help the scene. Sorry to go on about the border. It's a great shot and should have done a hell of a lot better.

Thank you for the feedback, Scott. I'm just getting into photography (bought my first DSLR 2 months ago) and I certainly appreciate all the critiques. I thought I had a decent shot here, but it seems to have been dismissed for certain reasons. Ultimately I made a poor decision with the title (hey I'm from Southern California, so this looks very much like fall to me), as well as the choice for a border. Again, these are learning curves for me and I'll definitely choose these things more carefully in the future. I'm disappointed with the low score, but I hope to do better in the future. Thank you for your defense of my shot!

The shot is very sharp and the exposure is spot on but Fall is just turning here... not too much color showing. The border is a little odd...

Nice reflections and symmetry but the blown highlights let it down, sorry, good luck
