The low angle lighting and the reflections are sweet in this one. The water lines on the trees have a lot to do with how this photo effects me as a viewer. It's a very relaxing or soothing photo to look at. Maybe it's because I am quite at home in places like this, and I know how it looks, feels, and smells there. |

I am fascinated by the water level lines. They have such a nice symmetric pattern. |

I loved Linda Ronstadt's version of that song. This certainly has the slow feel of a Louisiana day. :) |

OMG .. this is stunning .. i was watching a program on foxtel yesterday about bloodsuckers .. showed so many .. leeches, those bats that drink blood and a heap of others including insects .. apparently mosquitos are the biggest killers in the insect kingdom .. anyway he was in a boat in one scene very much like this .. he put his foot in the water to hopefully get a leech to suck on him .. it did .,.. i love those sort'v shows .. so educational and so interesting ..
anyway .. i love the beautiful tones and reflections .. its an awesome shot .. :) |

Thank you so very much, shooting in the bayou's or everglades is truly special.
Glad my photo was pleasing. |

I agree with Josh....I like the reflections quite a bit, but that border seems a little overbearing. Have you tried this in B&W? |

Thank you for your comments I do appreciate it. The white lines on the trunks are flood line, the highest was about 23 feet high ! |

Nice colors here and great reflections. What are those white lines on the trees?
On a side note I would ditch the border, just my opinion but I try to only add (lately at least) borders when it really enhances the shot. I think this would stand well enough on its own or with just a simple, thin black border. |
