 This was taken near Banff Canada just after sunrise at a reflecting pond on highway 11 to Nordegg...

Wow..finally, a blue ribbon and it only took 5 years..haha! Well, thank you for all the comments..there was something mystical about this image when I reviewed it..used Topaz Adjust>color stretch to bring out tones,as it looked a little flat straight from camera...there is something about the Canadian Rockies that is magical..

This is absolutely stunning in the majestic beauty present. It truly looks like a painting rather than a photograph. The break in the clouds to let the mountain peak through is just perfect. I feel like I am viewing the first breath of the morning dawning on this woodland splendor. Very nicely composed and congrats on taking the blue.

That break in the cloud showing the Rockies beyond is almost like a tear in a curtain that reveals a tantalising glimpse of another world beyond.

Glad you enjoyed/are enjoying your stay in Alberta. The Rockies are indeed magical and each National Park in them shows a different look.

eta: I saw in a previous post you were in one of Darwin Wiggett's workshops. Was this also taken during one of them? (And I take it you aren't in Rhode Island anymore?)
