My daughter wanted us to try doing her senior pictures for her in order to try to save some money. I will be the first to admit that I absolutely suck at people pictures, and this was the best of my batch on our first outing. My wife had a few better ones that she took with the SD700 point & shoot.

definitely could've used some more light on the subjects and a crop of the bright light at top. use light to direct people's eyes where to go (says the guy with many too-dark photos)

The light along the top of the frame pulls the viewer's eye away somewhat. Maybe some fill flash is needed?

Your image has a blue-cyan tint. Correct the colors and a charming image will be a pleasure to look at.

Really like this shot. Some fill light (flash or reflector) would had made both of them stand out a little better with keeping background exposure pretty much the same. Nice shot
