 Not expecting much with this entry, but as the week went on, didn't come up with any better ideas. My guess is that the "speed voters" probably won't even notice the lettering on the rose. (I attempted this because it was a Basic Editing challenge, otherwise people would probably assumed the effect was achieved in post...)

The hearts and the word "Love" were projected onto the rose by the sun shining through one of my wife's stencils. I think the concept had potential, but it didn't turn out quite like I had envisioned (it rarely does!)

The "love" script underneath the rose is there to ensure I have words (note the plural) so the literal voters don't complain that I only have one word in the picture... =]

"Love"ly idea...very visually appealing. One tiny nitpick...two small dots that I'm sure you wish you could have spot-edited out, as they distract the eye a tad. Beautiful color and light. :o)

Unique idea. I like the look of the words illuminating the rose. It might have been bolder on a dark background, and could be a bit sharper, but nice idea, well done. 7

This is very very beautiful shot. I like the the way the rose is presented and the way you did the light. It gives it a very romantic look. I also like how the words love are in the shadow of the flower. Good Job

Quite good really, perhaps needing sharper focus and more contrast to highlight the words on the rose.

A lovely shot! I like the thought put into this picture. Very nice composition. If you wanted to make changes, the rose seems a little washed out, but I wouldn't detract for that. Overall, a beautiful idea and photo.
