I thought it was beautiful and I gave it an 8. :) |

Well I have to say that I like it enough to add it my favorites. It does evoke an emotional response and I think that should always be one of our goals as photographers. |

I gave it an 8 also. I'm not surprised it received a lukewarm reception, but plenty of the more thoughtful/introspective voters appreciated what you were doing, and that's a good result in my book. |

Fabulous concept, just wonder what a bit of dodge and burn on the bottom clouds would have done, or mask it and play with curves. |

I loved the dreamlike/spiritual feel of this and the soft color palate and gave you and an 8. I'm surprised it didn't score higher too. :-/ |

I rather liked this image and gave it an 8. The colours and the hazy effects are exactly what I did like about this photo and it reminded me of some of the images I have seen depicting spirituality.
Very nicely done.

Wow, I don't think I have ever seen a voting spread as symmetrical as this! I am another who really liked the motion blur of the bird. |

Yes Abra nice voting split and it shows that the voters were 100% divided. An extra 1 would have made it perfect indeed.
Ps. Funny...your entry got a 6 from me also.

I'm rather impressed by the voting split. Although I'm sure you wont agree but it's a pitty you didn't get one more 1 vote :-)
I thought the shot was quite nice and had given it a 6. |

The blur was done entirely on purpose when photographing the image. {1/40s at f4.5} It was not achieved during post processing. It was meant to create a feeling of spirituality in a dreamlike way. The bird not a bird but the representation of a spirit set free from it's earthly bonds. I am afraid most voters did not see it like that at all.

Lovely shot. The blur makes it for me, but probably not for most voters. I like the different tones as well; the smooth pinks and blues. It's different from every shot here. Nice one. Not voting, but that's what I see. |
