A family of beavers has dammed up Fish Creek in Estes Park, CO. Very low light situation. ISO 1600 worked because I exposed correctly. Beavers do not appear in daylight, so this was the best light available.

This type of image has appeared on the front page of both the EstesParkNews and the TrailGazette. So, it is clearly a photojournalism image and a nature image.

First comment complaining about the title for some reason. A complaint without explanation is not helpful. The title must not translate to something meaningful in France. Otherwise, I think it's a very good title.

What's with all the very low votes. This meets the challenge, as nearly identical images have been on the front page of local newspapers. It's a good image, not deserving votes of 1, 2 or 3.

I Australian, so don't know much about beavers at all except they were hunted heavily in times gone by. I take it they're not exactly common and a little shy. Very appropriate for a national parks type newsletter / magazine. I wonder if a slightly wider shot would have helped to grab a little more context?
