This is the back of a huge abstract art piece of red and blue paint on glass adorning a parking garage. The architecture curves and the artwork follows the shape. The paint makes for some interesting textures and the glass reflects the interior windows of the garage that look out over town. I liked how it looked and I attempted to capture it with an attention to composition, textures, light, and shadow that I see in nixter's photos.
Shooting for this challenge was a great experience. As a beginner, I felt like I was begining to understand composition a bit better and was aware of setting up the entire image, not just a single element that caught my eye. I had a hard time choosing this shot from the 6 images I finally selected as candidates out of 1900 that I took (lots of continuous shooting with a fair amount of moving subjects). Even though the goal was "in the style of", I finally chose the one of the group that I thought was most "me", having developed a new eye for my own, using nixter's work as inspiration. I almost presented this one in color, but the blue in this part of the art piece was a bit overpowering.
Hope you enjoy it!

this picture does not tell me a story or even hint at one - but now it does - a lot of these images seem to come back at you differently when you revisit them - 7 |

Title gives away your secret. It looks more like a filmy gauze over a gauzy film.
