 I was going to do something far different involving the phrase "comfortably numb" and a scene from a dentist... but that was a lot of work and my shots were very poor. So I thought of this and a chili in an ice cube seemed natural, and hopefully encourages oxymoron here.

This is a dried habanero chili pepper. Very very hot. Especially for us Irish.

Anticipated criticism:
* Not a strong oxymoron
* Wider DOF might have worked better to have the cube corner and the chili in focus (I definitely agree. But, the tip and the corner are in focus. )

I'm not sure how this'll do. Mid 5's would make me quite happy. Anything over average makes me happy anyway.

Post challenge:
I knew people wouldn't think it was good in focus. Oh well. I thought it made it interesting that the front corner of the ice cube was. Should have taken it again with a narrower aperture.
Very happy with the result, though. Thanks for the votes! It's always a good challenge when you get no 1s!

Cool concept, it really too bad that the chili in the ice cube isnt a little more in focus. Really like the idea though! 6

i rlly like the concept of this picture. Next time maybe use a lil smaller aperature to get it all in focus and a bit more water. Also a more 'red' of the chili woud have been nice.
