I love these bugs! I just think they're very cool. I'm always pleased to see one, and then it ocurred to me that I could use it for this challenge just because of its common name. I liked it better than any other idea I had tried.

Not expecting a great score from a bug shot but I like the wing position and motion blur, and the bokeh.

PP - cropped, increased saturation on red/orange/yellow, duotone, levles, resized, sharpened with noise reduction, added border.

That's a very interesting bug! It looks a lot like a "Mourning Sphinx" moth, except with the fuzzy tail. Nice capture. Centered works well because the in focus flowers lead from the right corner to the moth.

Holy cow!!!! Two shot of the shame bug!!! What a bizarre creature. I actually prefer this one as we can see it more clearly. There is something very delicate yet Elephant Man about this little critter. Gorgeous b/w conversion, and the detail in the front flowers really add depth. Front page for me.
