Pretty much what idp said except that the lighting/contrast works perfectly. A lovely weird space.

Too much vacant space in the middle; lighting too flat.

very harmonious indeed, you can't go wrong with window lighting

I like the lines and the opposite placements of the shakers and the pooch.

This has such a simple look to it. Very nice job.

i can see the zen feel you're going for here but it just doesn't seem like much thought went into this shot. the natural light is nicely captured though 5

It's funny I wasn't going to look at this photo, as I thought it looked boring, but on enlarging it, I kind of like it, it's nice in its simplicity.

A few too many objects here for my taste. I do like the light, but a closer shot of just the salt and pepper shakers would work better for me, maybe with just the blinds in the background.

This is a strange picture (read that as starange in a good way) at first it looks flat and somewhat dull but theplacement of the objects is very intriguing and it keeps you looking for explanations or stories - I'm sure it will bomb - mine is not altogether dissimilar and is currently bobbing aroung 4.5 - but i like this much better than some of the heavily staged entries - I think I'd like a bit more contrast though

not at all what comes to mind when I think of a still life...
