| This is a great example of misunderstood Minimalism. It's about a more mechanized approach after the emotional excesses of abstract expressionism. What might detract from this Minimalism is the dramatic lighting, giving this an almost operatic feeling that is the opposite of Minimalism... and that's what makes the picture interesting. |
