 My family was on vacation at the beach. The youngest member is my nephew, who's 1 year old. He regularly woke his parents up at 5 or 6, so I decided to get up one morning and join my brother and him for their walk.

I got many good pictures, including some nice long-distance shots of the pier with the dawn blazing behind. Meanwhile my brother played with my nephew. I really wasn't paying much attention to them.

Then, as we were getting ready to head back, I realized we were going to have to walk back through this opening in the pier. "Hey, hold him up for a minute!"

Wham! There was my entry.

I'm pretty sure the colorful sky shot below would've scored better, but I just like this one more. And I'm still quite happy with my decision!

This would be a super picture if you cropped it tighter to remove the railings on the pier.
