 This is the Oil refinery located in Cheyenne, WY. Shot was taken during the 2010 Photowalk.Other photos here

Regarding the "looking weird," I think what you're referring to is the effect of a polarizer on a superwide lens.
I wanted to do this because it reimagines the landscape. Instead of romanticizing what was, it romanticizes what is (for me).

For me, this is an example of where the processing is more interesting than the content of the image, and makes an otherwise average shot more interesting.
