 I swear, I didn´t use saturation on this shot. Just crop, levels, unsharp mask, save, upload.

In recent challenges (like potatoes) I have noticed that I really fall for the pictures with very strong colors. Not the over-saturated landscapes, but usually very simple close-up shots of ordinary things. So since I apparently like that, I wanted to see what I could do with it myself.

Reading the challenge description again I hope I won´t get too many dnmc´s, because technically it´s not a whole meal, although in the summer I do get by on sun, sea and watermelon.

A great idea with excellent use of negative space, but I feel it would have looked better with the DOF geared towards the front ( The shell ) and fading back....

wish the whole melon was in a sharp focus, but other wise seems like a nice pic

Great watermelon macro. Rich colors, wonderful detail. Wish there were a tad more rind.

I like the close feel, it really gives this photo potential. Unfortunately, the inability to se all the fine details of the melon meat is hurting this photo.
