 This is an acid plant.

According to their website, they produce Malic Acid, Fumaric Acid and Maleic Anhydride. Presumably, these have applications in foods we eat, among other uses...they have listed:

- Beverages
- Confectioneries
- Bakery Products
- Savoury
- Fruit Based Products
- Desserts
- Personal Care
- Pharmaceutical
- Non-Food products
- Antimicrobial

....still looks pretty imposing, though. I certainly didn't think "food" when I saw this structure.

Post processing includes cleaning up a little lens-flare, Unsharp Mask and a Topaz layer ('Portrait Drama') backed off to 50%.

Disqualification Details
You may use a cloning tool or small healing brush for the sole purpose of removing sensor dust or hot pixels. No other spot-editing is allowed (i.e., the removal of the lens flare was not legal in Basic)

I'm sorry, David. I really didn't mean to come off that way. I did suspect it might not have been allowed, but I'm new around here and was honestly just trying to learn something more about what you can and can't do in Basic. I'm _not_ happy that your shot was DQ'd. I really like the picture.

Bummer on the DQ. I knew this was going to be one of the higher finishers during voting. It sets up that cold industrial feel very well, and the huge variety of lighting on the surfaces brings a lot for the viewer to look at.

Clynical shot of this factory. Like the star burst in the lights. Looks a bit empty/quiet and would like to have seen some activity with this by way of truck or moving figures. Yes it's after hours...but then this is industry and you have chosen a close frame on this that should also tell a story. is that a Figure on the stairs? If so the idea is there but more movement and figures would bring accross the idea stronger. Im nit picking..but then I only do that on pics I like
