 Every salmon fly has a name; this one is “silver doctor”. It’s mainly used in the big rivers up North in my country, especially in my favorite of all Laxa in Adaldalur. A fly like this gives a big salmon there….
The photo is unfortunately NOT taken in Adaldalur but in my garden besides a small pond :o)

I used my 70-200 mm f 2,8 lens with a 20 mm macro adapter

Lightroom. Convert from RAW. Two copies of the same photo - light adjustments for the foreground and the fly in one and light adjustments for the water in the other one.
Photoshop: The two pictures merged together, levels, curves, hue/sat.

I hope you like this one, it’s simple but the swirl in the water gives it a special look.
