I like the carefree feeling of this and the soft treatment and muted colors. Kind of wish her arm weren't eclipsing her face. Just a glimpse of profile would have been nice... |

In portraits, the subject is usually engaged with the viewer. She does not look like she even knows you're there. |

This seems a little soft on the detail and I see some artifacts near her legs, so I looked at the file size. There is some excessive JPEG compression taking away some detail. Your file size is only 54k and you could have used up to 300k for this challenge. Compression kills detail. Always use the least compression you can get away with and still come in under challenge limits. Most image editors have that ability to adjust compression somewhere in the file save dialog.
The shot itself does not not seem like an impromptu portrait to me. More like a snapshot or street photography. I'm afraid I have to give this my "good effort, but no cigar" vote. |
