 Recent meetup of the Dfw Area Meetup group on Flickr (DAM). Discussing where to take the group shot before we all split up to harass others on the lake with our cameras. The Flickr colored beachballs on the tripod are so those arriving can locate the group at a busy place. If anyone else needs some, just message Flickr support and ask for some swag for your meetup group. They will send you two beachballs, some Flickr pins and sometimes stickers.

Go to the groups menu and do a search for the major city or cities in your area. Then just scan over the descriptions for one that is a meetup group. meetup.com is also a good place to find like minded people for any interest.

The balloons are great, where did you get the meet up group information. I can't find any where on Flickr to search for a local group that actually gets together

She's the wife of one of the regulars, so your observation is correct.

Hmmm. Maybe when I quit DPC I should join a flickr group. I'm going on an outing for the day walkabout thingie (I forget who organizes that - Scott Kelby?) in the San Pedro area - maybe I'll meet flickr people that way!

A Dam Good Shot, Yo! Thanks for the good Flickr info too. I hope everyone found interesting things to shoot for the day. It's always enjoyable to meet up with a group of photographers and see how everyone interacts and how they find and shoot different subjects.
